Agreement between Allison and John Richmond for Eyewear

p align="justify"> A garment from the John Richmond collectionThe British stylist, John Richmond, yesterday announced that he has signed a contract with Allison for the production of a line of sun and eyeglasses which is due to be launched during the next Silmo. The five-year agreement, which is renewable for a further five years, envisages the creation of 30 models for men and women, with about 100 variations for the brand's first line, with a pre-emption for subsequent eyewear linked to the other Richmond collections.

According to MF Fashion, the project covers considerable production and distribution levels: 150 thousand units for the first twelve months with an additional 100 thousand pairs of glasses every year. For the first five years, the objective is to achieve total billings of 75 million euros.

'I am certain that Allison has the integrity and the structure', John Richmond commented, 'to help me to express my rock & roll style throughout the world'. On the same wavelength is Saverio Moschillo, who distributes the brand at world level and is a shareholder in the fashion house: 'After the first meeting, we realized immediately that Allison would be the perfect partner to support and develop this project we strongly believe in and in which we will invest many resources. Over the last few seasons, the John Richmond brand has had an excellent growth rate. Compared to last year, billings have increased by 100%'.

At Allison they're feeling equally pleased: 'We believe a great deal in this project', declared Silvio Vecellio Reane, the company's president, 'also because John Richmond's potential is very high. I can't reveal the figures, but I can say that we are definitely not talking about a niche market'.

Initially, the collection will arrive on markets in Europe and the Fast East with the US coming after that. The reference segment is the top range, the same as Gucci, Dior and Armani. The target will be the young and trendy, but there will also be space for special creations developed as particular projects. 'Our objective', concluded Vecellio, 'is to reach 2500 doors in Europe and total 3500 outlets throughout the world. This distribution platform will be structured within the first two years of the collaboration'.
