Nel cuore della City di Londra lo studio Mackay + Partners ha progettato Motel One, il primo edificio a uso commerciale nel Regno Unito con la facciata scintillate. La nuova struttura dona allo storico quartiere Minories un'identità luminosa grazie all'utilizzo del rivestimento in DuPont®TM Corian® nel colore bianco traslucente. Questo trattamento presenta una finitura pura e semplice durante il giorno, mentre di notte crea effetti dal forte impatto visivo, illuminando la struttura attraverso la retroilluminazione di alcuni pannelli. Il sistema di illuminazione a Led include una gamma di colori che possono essere modificati tramite computer. Pattern e tonalità riflettono il marchio Motel One.In the heart of the City of London, Mackay + Partners has designed Motel One, the first commercial building in the United Kingdom with a sparkling facade. The new building gives the historical Minories area a luminous identity thanks to the use of DuPont® Corian® translucent white cladding. During the day the finish is pure and simple, but at night highly impactful effects are created by illuminating the building with backlit panels. The LED lighting system includes a range of colors that can be changed by computer and patterns and hues that reflect the Motel One brand.
