Essequadro Group announces the acquisition of the Kyme Brand

Essequadro Group expands its portfolio of produced and distributed brands with the acquisition of KYME, aiming to close 2024 with revenues approaching 10 million euros.

Stefano Scauzillo, CEO of Essequadro Group, announced at SILMO Paris the acquisition of 100% of the Apulian company Kyme s.r.l. and its eponymous brand KYME.

This significant commercial operation is designed to tap into new segments of the eyewear market and strengthen Essequadro's competitive position within the optics industry, offering substantial growth opportunities in both the medium and long term.

During SILMO Paris, Essequadro also forged new international partnerships for the KYME brand, opening markets in France, Cyprus, Saudi Arabia, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates, while establishing new distribution relationships in Mexico, Russia, and Australia.

Thanks to the acquisition of Kyme s.r.l., Essequadro Group, which ended 2023 with revenues of €7.8 million, aims to close 2024 with total revenues around €10 million.

"This new operation is part of Essequadro's strategic development plan—already showing significant growth potential—toward expanding in European and international markets," stated Stefano Scauzillo, President of the Group. The inclusion of KYME "is a great growth opportunity for Essequadro, further bolstered by synergy and knowledge-sharing with other companies in the group, all of which represent the excellence of Made in Italy with distinct characteristics and styles."

For Essequadro, this marks another milestone in its ongoing journey, following the 2019 acquisition of another niche, high-end brand: JPLUS. Founded in 2012 by Stefano Scauzillo, whose family has been in the eyewear industry since the early 1940s, Essequadro specializes in designing and producing high-quality eyewear for its own brands—including Kyme, Jplus, Essedue, Mahila, and Bzp—as well as for private labels.
