
NYC calls, Italy answers
Thanks to ICE and ANFAO support on initiatives promoting Made in Italy, the group composed of twenty-seven Italian companies will return to Vision Expo in New York City from Friday April 2. The decision to exhibit at the Javits Center is linked to the positive performance by the local market; according to 2016 export data published by ANFAO, the USA is still the first reference market for Italian companies, with 25.2% of total exports. Also in 2016, total exports of sun-optical products increased by 2.6% against 2015, but growth was definitely lower than in the two previous years. Exports of sunglasses (+3.4%) were much higher compared to frames, which were relatively stable at year end (+0.4%).
