IGuzzini illuminates the Eurasia Tunnel

IGuzzini Illuminazione, a company specialised in architectural illumination worldwide, has supplied and installed more than 2,000 lighting devices inside the Eurasia Tunnel. The stretch of motorway, symbol of the mobility between the two continents, connects Kazlicesme – the European part of Istanbul – to the Asian part of Göztepe. The Croatian firm of Skira Architectural Lighting Design elaborated the lighting project, which features a particular interwoven pattern of lines of lights and the use of the colour blue: the colour reflects the iconographic elements of Turkish tradition, while the linear pattern recalls the geometric figures used in the decoration of carpets, tiles, and buildings.
