Together for charity

The Alain Afflelou Foundation is working with the Lions Club International in the fight against avoidable blindness through a glasses recycling project to provide spectacles to those who cannot afford them. In the more than 300 Alain Afflelou optical stores in Spain, collection points will be set up for the donation of unused glasses. The donated frames will be sent to the Melvin Jones Recycle Centre in San Vicente del Raspeig (Alicante), one of the 18 Lions Clubs International collection points. Here they will be processed and sent to local teams for donation. This centre has distributed about 45,000 frames from the beginning of 2015.
