The first Invu Sunglass Design Contest
Invu partnered with ECAL - University of Art and Design Lausanne, for the first ever Invu Sunglass Design Contest. Over 30 Bachelor of Industrial Design students were challenged to develop new concepts and design ideas for sunglasses or sunglass piece parts, taking inspiration from nature, the arts, history, architecture and other facets of life to create unique designs. These designs were then realized as prototypes with 3D printing technology. The winning project was designed by Claire Pondard and her sunglasses have now been produced in acetate, complete with the ultrapolarised lenses of the Swiss Eyewear Group. Available in 2 different colours, the two limited edition models by the Invu label will be on sale in optical stores across the globe.
