Skiing in safety
The new collection of Zeiss ski masks uses the patented Sonar colour technology. Having been studied to increase contrasts and facilitate the identification of drops and obstacles in the snow, these masks enable the skier to react to danger more quickly and safely without compromising on performance even on foggy or cloudy days. The lens was tested during wearing trials in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy and in Saas Fee, Switzerland, in collaboration with the Institute of Optometry in Aalen and the Department of Sport Medicine of the Ruhr- Universität in Bochum, Germany. These tests demonstrated that the masks offer a better performance in terms of sensitivity to contrasts and visual acuity as well as colour discrimination compared to other contrast lenses available on the market.
