Sisley chooses Margraf marble in Venice
Sisley has opened Rich&Raw in Calle Vallaresso in Venice, a new concept store that summarises the brand’s fashion and cosmopolitan identity. The concept is inspired by the Bernardo Bertolucci film The Dreamers: the atmosphere is that of a period Parisian apartment, originally luxurious but filled with the freedom, style and seduction of the young people who live in it. The flooring in grey and anthracite Margraf marble, with a corridor that from the entrance leads customers into the store with a herringbone pattern of yellow, white and orange blossom, is made from different materials, cut into strips: brushed black Armani, polished Fior di Pesco Carnico (Peach Blossom Carnico), for which Margraf owns the only quarry in the world, polished white Carrara, polished yellow Travertine and brushed Jolye grey. The glossy lacquered ceiling, in a colour that recalls the green of the lagoon and Venetian door and window frames, reflects the warm diffused illumination inside the store and the natural light filtering through the black window grills, to give an overall effect of light, sensual half-shadow.
