Motorcycle art at the Triennale di Milano

To raise everyone’s awareness about road safety, nonprofit association Motomorphosis conceived the project “Motoparade”: 12 motorcycle silhouettes turned into works of art. From November 8 through 13 they will be on display in the square opposite the Triennale di Milano and in the internal atrium. Designed exclusively for Motomorphosis by Pino Spagnolo, the 12 motorcycle silhouettes have become the unusual support for creativity by such contemporary artists as Armona and Michelangelo Pistoletto, Willow, Tom Porta, Domenico Marranchino, Domenico Pellegrino, Omar Hassan, Felipe Cardena, Ugo Nespolo, Rutger (Rudy) Van Der Welde and Max Papeschi. Another two motorcycle silhouettes have been customized by two emerging young artists, Simone Parise and Lorenzo Gnata. Against the backdrop of a special gala evening on November 19, the 12 motorcycles will be the subject of a charity auction held with the support of Sotheby's. The proceeds will be donated to various entities, including Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto Onlus, Fondazione Italiana per le 2 Ruote, AMI Onlus and StarTeam.
