Inverted perspective

The collaboration between Mykita and Japanese brand Ambush has resulted in Verbal eyewear, a blend of both brands’ independent characters. The creative drive behind Ambush accessories and apparel comes from Verbal & Yoon, the intriguing designer duo based in Tokyo. Avid collectors of Mykita frames, the hip-hop artist and the graphic designer are longtime friends of the German atelier. Verbal’s inverted perspective reflects an upturned world. The mirrored lenses are reversed and slightly concave instead of convex, which gives observers an upside-down vision of the world. The model is made from stainless steel and the upper bridge hangs over the lenses to create geometric aesthetics inspired by pop art.
