Fashion according to National Geographic
From February 4 through May 2, Palazzo Madama in Turin will host the photographic exhibition “Fashion and style in National Geographic photographs” created and organized by National Geographic Italia. 62 large format images by 36 masters of photography give a fascinating global perspective of the historical and cultural significance of apparel and ornaments and everything that revolves around the concept of style. In surprising and seemingly bizarre groupings, the exhibition illustrates how the fashion runways have a lot more in common than we might think with the grasslands of Oregon, Papua New Guinea rain forests, African villages and the temples of Java.(Photo: Jodi Cobb)
