Castamusa winner of “The Icons”
Castamusa, the Italian brand of luxury bags designed by its founder, Cesare Mercuri, is the winner of “The icons” contest in the ‘Best Timeless’ category. Held at the Triennale di Milano, the contest was organized by the fair, Mipel 110, and also aimed at celebrating the partnership between the fair and the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA). A jury composed of international buyers judged the products on display in the fair’s ‘Trend Area’, with the award going to the Edie handbag. The bag has a trapezoid shape and features intentionally strong triangles at the base of the handle. The leather used for all Castamusa products is selected at the tannery district in Tuscany and shaped in Milan by Leu Locati, a legendary company with 30 master artisans.
