Africa dictates fashion

The Pitti Discovery foundation, in collaboration with ITC Ethical Fashion Initiative, once again shine the spotlights on Africa with the “Generation Africa” project: a special event dedicated to promoting young and talented designers from Africa and the creative energy that comes from the one of the most interesting and innovative panoramas of fashion today. On the occasion of Pitti Immagine Uomo 89 on Thursday, 14 January, at the Dogana in Via Valfonda, the new collections of four emerging African designers will strut the runway, presenting the different aspects of fashion in this continent. The collections by AKJP, Ikiré Jones, Lukhanyo Mdinigi x Nicholas Coutts and U.Mi- 1, produced in their homelands, are already making incredible headway on the international market.
