WooDone and handmade excellence from Aldo Adige
Klaus Tavella: "we will present the possibility of folding wooden frames" "We can definitely say that we are a happy island. Since we work a lot outside Italy we don't feel the crisis as strongly". On the eve of Mido 2014, WooDone founder Klaus Tavella looks at the situation in the sector and inhis company in particular, with a certain optimism. "For us, Mido" - he said – "is an occasion for meeting new customers and a showcase for introducing ourselves to anyone who does not know us yet. Thanks to our stand, which is a reproduction of a mountain cottage, to our communication and, naturally, to our collection we want to attract attention and get ourselves known to an even wider public. We also want to further introduce our product to the Italian market and let everyone know about the quality and handmade excellence from Alto Adige". Fear, hope, confidence. In what frame of mind will you face 2014? "Our company looks positively at the future: we are growing strongly, we continue to expand and 2014 will certainly be characterized by sacrifices and hard work, but also by huge satisfaction for WooDone". Shape, color, material. What will be the successful factor for eyewear in 2014? "The successful factor for WooDone eyewear will certainly be the quality and precision of handmade Alto Adige products". Let's talk about the new products you'll be presenting at MIDO this year. "We will introduce various new developments in the eyewear sector; they include the first adjustable wooden frames. After months of designs and research, we found the solution for folding and adjusting wooden frames without breaking them. We expect that this and the other new developments we will present will put us one step ahead of the others in Italy as it happened at Opti in Germany".
