The 2014 edition of ExpoCECOP in Florence
The three members of the CECOP group met to discuss about changes and the best ways to act and react The Hilton Florence Metropole was the venue on September 21 and 22 of the 2014 edition of ExpoCECOP, the annual convention that unites partner companies, eye care professionals and the CECOP team. Change was the main subject of the convention that was held on Sunday afternoon. Talking about it was coach Guido Granchi, who demonstrated how change plays a key role in a person's life and development and that it can be handled in a "reactive" or "active" way. Granchi's invitation was to look out for the signs of change, because there is a systemic delay between the moment an action is taken and the actual effect of that action. The "reactive" attitude consists of "reacting" to change, of taking action when the change has already occurred. On the contrary, an "active" attitude consists of picking up the signals and taking action to turn change into an advantage because, as the Chinese proverb says, when the wind of change blows, some people build walls, others build windmills. Some associates of the group garnered considerable attention when they shared with colleagues their experience of change, the actions they took and the group's collaboration. On Monday, eye care professionals were again involved in education by taking part in the many courses organized with the collaboration of the partner companies. The associates were able to choose their preferred subjects, such as the application of multifocal contact lenses, visual merchandising techniques, the analysis of consumer needs, the choice of the most suitable progressive lens for individual customers, just to mention a few. ExpoCECOP 2014 was designed to be a balanced mix of business and relaxation and this is why all the guests found it very enjoyable.
