NIDEK launches Pupillary Distance Meter PM-700

The innovation in the operator's hand NIDEK CO., LTD., a global leader in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of ophthalmic, optometric, and lens edging equipment, is pleased to announce the launch of Pupillary Distance Meter PM-700. Responding to strong consumer demand, the new NIDEK PD Meter, PM-700, has just been released. Taking ergonomics into consideration, it is designed to fit comfortably in the operator's hands. The vertical marker with 0.25 mm increments has been included allowing easier alignment with the corneal reflection point. The scale can be corresponded to 0.5 mm increments same as the previous model, the PM-600.   Measurement value of pupil distance is presented in 0.5 or 0.1 mm increments. Many of the measurement settings can be modified depending upon the situation. As a result of the review of the inner structure, battery life is approximately three times longer than the previous model. Additionally, in consideration of the environment, it supports rechargeable batteries that can be used repeatedly.
