The one-year optometry specialization course; 2. The two-year optometry specialization course. In addition, students who wish to take an international degree course in healthcare and opticians and eye care operators who wish to acquire additional distinction and professional qualifications, the Institute proposes:   • Three-year degree course in English: "BSc in Optometry and Clinical Practice (with Honours)" held by the IBZaccagnini Vision Sciences Department in collaboration with Aston University and in preparation for admission to the Degree Course at the English Summer School, which focuses on its academic use in the study of optometry and medicine.   In recent years the Zaccagnini Institute has put considerable effort into organization in order to confirm and strengthen its mission to "produce" excellent teaching and education in professional areas by integrating and renewing teaching equipment and educational support for students. With the aim of placing on the labor market professionals with levels of knowledge and practice that can be applied immediately, there has been an increase in the number of laboratories, clinics and donations of leading-edge ophthalmic equipment.   The setting up of the IBZaccagnini Vision Sciences Department coincided with the start of the international collaboration with Aston University, Birmingham, an excellent university in the United Kingdom with a significant reputation for optometric teaching and research. The collaboration led to the English three-year degree course - BSc in Optometry and Clinical Practice (with Honours) - which means that a British degree (the scientific world in which optometry began and was developed) can be achieved in Italy. Clinical experience can be acquired at Aston in Birmingham for the highest levels of preparation and expertise available in Europe.   VISITING THE INSTITUTE AND ITS TEACHING AND CLINICAL EQUIPMENT   Visitors will be welcomed by Institute directors and professors who will provide full information about the courses, the BSc in Optometry and Clinical Practice (with Honours) and post graduate courses. They will be taken on a tour of the lecture rooms, teaching equipment, laboratories and clinics and, in particular, the new teaching areas that are fully equipped for practical and clinical demonstrations with the Virtual Learning method. During the tour of the clinics, information will be provided about their most recent optical/ophthalmic instruments and their use in practicing the profession of optician and optometrist.   At 11 am and 3 pm on Saturday and 11 am on Sunday there will be a video and film presentation of the Institute, its school and university study programs, its educational offer and the development of the profession pursuant to Italian Law 4/2013 and Legislative Decree 13/2013.   Anyone wishing individual meetings with the secretary's or directors' office should make an appointment by calling the secretary's office on +39 051 480994 or by writing to segreteria@istitutozaccagnini.it
