HALLY & SON: the dream of Mr. Hally is born again to tell a story

Craftsmanship, love for tradition and good taste in a new ambitious collection Hally & Son was created to tell a story: the story of a man who had a dream when he came from abroad in the district of spectacles, and he tried to implement his concept of eyeglasses. Drawings and semi- finished frames that we found in our archives, in an old box, tell it.   His name was Mr. Hally and since 1959, when it all started, an invisible thread has joined its craftsmanship to our love for tradition and good taste. So particular details, such as the tips with round and drilled end, the asymmetrical position of the rivets and the unique and timeless shapes, have become his signature and identify all present and future Hally & Son styles. The real water buffalo horn, with which some precious pieces are produced, has become the emblem material of the brand. In many models this material is proposed in the form of Replica Horn, a particular acetate expressly conceived for this brand, which significantly duplicates the chromatic and tactile characteristics of natural horn. There are new interpretations of an ancient and modern design that complement the first models of the archive, such as the icon TYPE 1, TYPE 8 and TYPE 24, the real masterpieces of the collection. In the new collection, the evocation to the retrò atmosphere is particularly evident in some models such as the TYPE 29, with thick and solid volumes, a tribute to the Onassis style; or as the TYPE 45, whose particular octagonal softened shape evokes the glamour charme of the fabulous Sixties. Referring to the ambition of Mr Hally to create precious and comfortable frames, the range of Titanium Core models is introduced. The Replica Horn acetate becomes ultra-thin, through a patented processing that allows its extreme thinness, making these frames two times lighter than an Hally & Son made in traditional acetate. The resistance is guaranteed by the titanium core that, once inserted in the temples, allows an extraordinary lightness and high mechanical performance. Models with a classic appearance, which hide a technological core.   An example is the TYPE 14, rounded and sophisticated, with a keyhole bridge and very thin profiles, where the titanium core is even visible through the transparent acetate.
