Eyes-On: glasses that can see under the skin

The new accessory presented at CES in Las Vegas allows us see what lies under our skin How many times have you gone for a blood test and been afraid that the nurse would struggle to find the vein? This fear would be completely unfounded if your hospital used Eyes-On, the first accessory for problem-free vein location.   The fear that a physician or nurse won't immediately locate the patient's vein is totally justified: according to statistics, more than one attempt is required to find the right point in over 50% of children (and 40% of adults). To make this process faster and less painful, Evena has created a fantastic accessory that shows the vasculature under the patient's skin.   The technology behind Eyes-On consists of 4 different pulsating lights and two cameras. The pulsating lights create the ideal conditions for the two cameras to capture and process images that highlight the veins under the skin.   The accessory can be wireless connected (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G) to other devices for real time transmission of the images to another screen, while the patient's vital signs are displayed on the lenses of the glasses.   Another important characteristic of Eyes-On is that they check that no fluid comes out of the vein after an injection: this is certainly useful for limiting damage to surrounding tissues caused by certain medications (chemotherapeutics for example).   Eyes-On will be available from April and will cost around $ 10,000.   Source: iSpazio.net
