Zerorh+ and San Carlo Gresini: an all-Italian team

Zerorh+ and San Carlo Gresini: an all-Italian team

This morning at MIDO, at the Allison stand, Stefano Fabris, CEO of Zerorh+, briefly explained the highlights of the agreement with the San Carlo Gresini Honda Team. “We decided to sign the agreement with Gresini because we are an Italian design firm and it seemed that a high performance team with all Italian pilots and with a Japanese motorcycle totally based in Italy was a good match. A combination that was coherent with our brand values.”

So we could say that the Italian spirit is the glue that holds you together.
“The values shared by Gresini and Zerorh+ can be summed up with the term "Italian Spirit", embodied in both design and performance.”

Could you give us technical information on the two Special Edition models dedicated to the Gresini Team?
“Of course. These are eyeglasses made with a particular material, an indestructible plastic product. These models offer top-notch quality vision compared to those currently found on the market and they also emphasise the contrast of objects, especially on the road surface. Another important feature is their Limited Edition: only 999 pieces per model were made, all autographed by the pilot."

We then asked some questions to the pilots themselves, the leading men of this partnership together with the eyeglasses.

The first is Marco Melandri: what is your relationship with eyeglasses?
I generally have a somewhat love-hate relationship with this accessory. Love because I often wear them given that I have difficulties seeing in direct sunlight, and hate because I often leave them around or I forget them, so I always have to keep one pair in the car and one pair in the van when I go to train. I usually tend to grow fond of a specific pair of glasses and I do everything in my power not to damage them because they are my favourites.”

What do you think about Zerorh+ glasses?
“They are very good, with lenses that go beyond expectations and, since I am a motorcycle fanatic, I’ve found an excellent ally in Zerorh+. Now we are collaborating to find ad hoc eyewear to meet my specific needs.”

Can you anticipate something about next season?
“It was a very long winter and the motorbike still needs lots of improvements, but it is still up in the air. After two difficult years I would really like to be in the first five positions, so I will be giving it my all every Sunday.”

Then we spoke to Marco Simoncelli, who explained his relationship with eyewear by saying: “I am always a bit bewildered by fashion. I like wearing glasses when I do sport or when I go cycling. All in all, I feel I always need them when I’m outdoors.”

And for next season?
“It will be really tough, at least for the first races. There weren’t many tests, but I’m sure we will be ready to meet the competition.”
