Uvex presents Ultraguard
Ultraguard by Uvex is the world’s first eyewear to be completely compatible with ski helmets and have the same qualities and characteristics as ski goggles.
Ski goggles are generally large so not everyone likes to wear them when the sun is shining but they are appreciated when the weather is bad. When it’s sunny, skiers usually prefer sports eyewear that has temples and offers optimum protection against UV rays, but there are also certain disadvantages. Firstly, they do not fit comfortably under a helmet and, secondly, the lenses tend to fog.
Uvex Ultraguard eyewear eliminates these disadvantages, making them truly ideal in terms of frame comfort, eye protection and technologically-advanced lenses.
The removable, ergonomic padding adapts perfectly to the face, keeps air out and prevents reddening of the eyes. The temples can be folded and adjusted at any time and they can be replaced by a band to improve fit under the helmet; the very soft nosepieces can be individually adapted. The lenses have all the excellent characteristics of ski goggles, such as the famous Uvex Supravision antifogging layer combined with an external dirt-repelling coating (easy clean).
The Ultraguard lenses also include variomatic technology: this means that, chameleon-like, the lenses change automatically and rapidly in any light conditions. In other words, they darken and lighten depending on changes in light and have an S2 to S4 protection spectrum.
Ultraguard is ideal for winter sports because it is fitted with shatterproof lenses and, thanks to its high comfort, it can also be worn for other sports such as cycling, sailing, trekking and many more.
