TWC Group acquires L'Amy
In August 2010, the TWC Group announced its acquisition of the L'Amy Group and now the two companies are the leading French operators in all fashion accessories except perfumes.
The main objective of the acquisition is to develop and support the growth of the L’Amy Group that began some years ago on international markets by creating logistics, distribution and commercial synergies with the TWC Group in various countries, worldwide. L'Amy has wholly-owned subsidiaries in France, Italy, the US and Australia and these have been joined by TWC structures in Germany, the Middle East and Southeast Asia (territories in which the company has developed a sound and direct presence). While remaining true to its 200-year experience in the eyewear sector and its French identity, the TWC acquisition has made the L'Amy Group stronger and more international, thus providing new opportunities for expanding its brand portfolio and products offers that reflect “made in France” quality.
After the change in the corporate structure, the new management headed by managing director Aymeric Chaumet consists of a team of young and enterprising managers with a strong passion for fashion and quality design.
There have been new additions to the Italian market, where the subsidiary has been run since September by sales manager Fabrizio Calarco. His short-term goal is to optimize the portfolio of brands distributed in the domestic market (Chloè, L’Amy, Levi’s, Kenzo, Nina Ricci, Sonia Rykiel and Rochas) with considerable attention paid to sell-out and after-sales activities. In recent months, partnerships have begun and are being planned with retailers and buying groups in order to work together on marketing actions (fashion shows, direct marketing and advertising operations as well as concentrated press office and product placement activities). These actions aim at successfully developing end-consumers’ loyalty to our brands and promoting opticians.
