Try Star, the interchangeable eyewear
The new Try Star collection sprang from the collaboration between Allison Spa and Liberi Pensatori Srl, the creative agency specializing in show-business.
Try Star is a global, transversal brand created to follow the trends of the moment. It targets the new generations that live on interaction and are curious about discovering and experimenting with new styles to keep in step with the times. Young people look beyond borders, they embrace the realities of all countries where they can meet and be influenced by a multitude of cultural microcosms. The definitive image is based on a reinterpretation of all these ideas and, to be convincing, it must harmoniously combine all the elements that are a part of a population: history, music and art.
The first Try Star capsule collection consists of two stylish sun models for men and women. The aviator shapes in plastic or metal come in six different colors and with a series of interchangeable Try Star temples. 12 one-color temples and 12 with exclusive, colorful graphics that reiterate the global aspect inspired by the trendy districts of some of the world’s most important cities like London (Brick Lane), Barcelona (El Born), New York (Meatpacking District) and Tokyo (Shibuya).
But young generations throughout the world are united by music and show-business: thanks to the collaboration with Liberi Pensatori, Try Star wants make an entry and play a leading role in these two worlds. The brand is already very popular with such famous faces in music and show-biz as international star Alexia, choreographer and dancer Etienne Jean Marie, renowned talent scout Mara Maionchi, who are joined by Jordan Stone, actor, music video-clip and movie producer and award winner at the last Venice Film Festival for “Somewhere” by Sofia Coppola, the Marlene Kuntz band, singer Orpheline and DJ and singer Dr. Feelx.
We asked two of these big names to talk to us about their relationship with eyewear in general and with this brand in particular.
Really passionate about sunglasses, Alexia jokes (“they are a very widely-used fashion accessory; perhaps the only country where they haven’t boomed like they have in Italy is Japan, because it’s the Japanese mafia’s favorite accessory…”) and then admits: “I can’t deny it, I always wear sunglasses, they hide tiredness the morning after a concert and anyway they allow you to relax a little. For me, they’re like a Linus’ blanket...!”. Why this passion for Try Star? “Because it’s a fun and young style. It lets me play around with various colors and patterns that are so difficult to combine in small glasses, but Try does it very well”.
Another eyewear fan is Mara Maionchi, the vivacious talent scout who became known to the public through the X-Factor TV program: “Yes, I’m a fan of the sun and vision eyewear and I wear them almost always in summer and winter, so I was excited about being able to change colors or have different logos. This is over and above the fact that Try Star eyewear is very comfortable, lightweight and extremely well made, especially where the lenses are concerned. I have to say also that the lights in the X-Factor studios are very bright and at my age I am very keen to protect my eyes”. And yet the desire for frequent change is ageless: “When I tried Try Star eyewear for the first time”, Mara Maionchi continued, “I found the new idea of changing the temples fun and also amazingly easy".
