The Pieve di Cadore School Optics turns 50
Set up in 1960 by Enrico De Lotto, the Pieve di Cadore School of Optics, one of the sector’s historical schools that over the years has created graduates from all Italy’s regions, will be 50 years old this year.
The Associazione Industriali Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti/Sipao together with ANFAO-MIDO, which have always been close to this institute of learning, collaborated on organizing the celebrations beginning at 10.45am Sunday, April 18, at Cos.Mo. hall in Pieve di Cadore.
The program is as follows:
10.45 – welcome from the authorities
The events will be opened by School Director Renzo Zagallo followed by the Mayor of Pieve di Cadore, Maria Antonia Ciotti, the President of Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti, Valentino Vascellari, and the Vice President of Anfao, Callisto Fedon. A commemorative plaque will be presented to the family of the creator and promoter of the School of Optics, Enrico De Lotto.

-Presentation of the twinning project with the Moscow College of Optics and Optometry by Alexander Myagkov, Director of the College.
-Presentation of CME courses and meetings with the citizens at the Coro del Cinquantenario, by Renzo Zagallo and Monica Tabacchi and former students Tiziano Gottardini, Alessandro Monico and Maio Bonazzola.
-Presentation of the Aula Magna project by Pierpaolo Genova, Antonio Dolmen and Arturo De Bon.

Talk by Silvio Maffioletti, contract lecturer for the Optics and Optometry Degree Course at the University of Milan - Bicocca.

Talks by: Pietro Gheller, optometrist, lecturer for the Optics and Optometry Degree Course at the University of Padua; Mauro Manfredini, optometrist expert on medical devices; Sergio Vian, expert on visual merchandising and retail concepts.

Lunch at the Hotel Bellavista, Calalzo di Cadore.
Presentation to all the opticians attending the event who graduated from the Pieve di Cadore School, in recognition of their work in the sector.
