
The first edition of Milano Fashion City at the starting line
For three weeks from September 8 through 30, the capital city of Lombardy and symbol of fashion will unite over 45 main players in the fashion sector as well as in culture, art and music to create a group and reveal a lively and charming city.
Different but complementary players will come together for the first time: institutions, exhibition events, the trade world, artisan workshops, showrooms, companies, trade associations, organizations, the fashion training system and the numerous other entities that represent the essence of the city.
Through unique, international and synergic communication, Milano Fashion City promotes events and creates a widespread network of dedicated services for citizens and visitors from all over the world.
The numerous events scheduled by sector operators and the initiatives developed specifically for the project have been organized by means of a shared agenda.
I order to meet the needs of visitors, dedicated services have been activated in collaboration with important partners: reception services at Milan’s airports, information tools at the Rho Pero and Fiera Milano City exhibition centers and a permanent reception point in the Fashion Apartments in via Alessandria in the Tortona district. Discounts and special terms will also be available at hotels and stores.
In collaboration with Fashion Illustrated, Milano Fashion City has created a bilingual guide for this first edition: 60,000 copies will be distributed at airports, exhibitions and strategic points in the city and it can also be downloaded from the website.
