Sover: leather eyewear at the Furniture Show
Sover eyewear will be the protagonist at the Furniture Show (Salone Internazionale del Mobile), the world’s first furniture exhibition, in Milan from today through Monday.
For the occasion, the company run by the Cannicci family began a partnership with La Cividina of Friuli, a manufacturer of handmade couches and armchairs. The agreement is based on the artisan workmanship that distinguishes the products of both companies. In particular, leather is the link between the Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia regions, respectively the symbols of eyewear and furniture, worldwide.
Sover supplied La Cividina with the Baldinini hand-stitched leather eyewear that will be gifted to a group of Italian and international guests. Sover managing director Stefano Cannicci believes this operation to be “an important indication of how Made in Italy can be combined with operations expressing excellence, certainly in design and fashion, but also in other sectors”. His words were echoed by the president of La Cividina, Fulvio Bulfoni. Friuli born and bred, he encountered Sover at the last Mido exhibition. “When I saw the Cannicci family’s level of craftsmanship, I immediately felt that they were close to our company, which has been so successful on international markets precisely because of its extreme attention to detail”.
