Sartori sponsor at Mido

This year Mido sees the start of a collaboration with Sartori and, for this edition in particular, it has chosen the sparkling wine Arnea, a Soave Brut Spumante.

How did the collaboration between Mido and Sartori begin?

When there is a chance to be protagonist at Mido, the prestigious exhibition which is the international leader of its sector, accepting it is fairly spontaneous. Like design, technology and high fashion, wine is also a protagonist among the Made in Italy excellence that is known and admired all over the world.

Sartori boasts a winemaking history of over 100 years and the brand is known worldwide. What path should be pursued to achieve excellence?

The path our family has taken over the past 100 years has been constantly sown with the pursuit of quality. We have always focused on the territory and what it can offer as well as on the potential of a province like Verona.

How much does generational continuity affect quality?

Without doubt, 4 consecutive generations of the same family have guaranteed that values and ideas have been handed down in terms of the pursuit of clearly identified corporate strategies and objectives.

What kind of consumers do your products target?

Our target is the middle-middle/upper range. However, we believe that excellent value for money is successful in all markets and with all targets.

What are your reference markets?

Our company is highly oriented toward exports: 75% of our products are exported to over 60 countries. Our main markets are North America and the European Union, in particular the United Kingdom and Germany.

Which wine have you chosen to toast Mido 2010?

We chose Arnea, a Soave Brut Spumante, a sparkling wine created from a passion for the territory. For many years we have sponsored the Stagione Lirica Areniana (the Arena Opera Season) and Arnea, an anagram of “Arena”, was created to celebrate this totally Veronese partnership. During the opera season, international audiences drink this wine during the intervals against the magical backdrop of the Opera.

So it is a sparkling wine? To be enjoyed….when?

Garganega, the vine from which Arnea is made, is extremely versatile. Obviously, we recommend it as an aperitif, but it is also excellent with starters of sea or lake fish in general, with delicate first courses and with second courses, especially those based on fish.
