"T'occhi di design": an entire day devoted to eyewear design

“T’occhi di design” is a day of meetings between Turin opticians and designer eyewear producers. An invitation to a hands-on experience involving products by companies that have made creative research their exclusive business: LA, which creates the Alfa Romeo and Italia Independent brands, and Nico-design with Vanni and Derapage brands.

An entire day devoted to eyewear design on the roof of the Lingotto building as guests of the Giovanni e Marella Agnelli Gallery (open only for the guests of the event), the location in Turin that has been able to harmoniously combine art, design, technology and traces of the past.
“T’occhi di design” will take place from 10am to 6pm on September 6, 2010, and will include the first presentation of the 2010/2011 collections by the 4 guest brands. At 11am, LA (with Giovanni Accongiagioco), Nico-design (with Giovanni Vitaloni) and independent opticians from Piedmont, Liguria and Valle d’Aosta will sit around a table for a debate/meeting titled “Producers and independent distributors facing a difficult scenario: the search for shared solutions”. The marketing expert Fatelli and the moderator Simona Finessi from Professional Optometry will also take part in the meeting. An unprecedented occasion for exchanging ideas and views and for formulating strategies aimed at promoting and supporting the sales of creative eyewear in a market dominated by optics multinationals and their designer labels and by mass distribution.
Good taste will be a certain protagonist: a testing buffet will be organized in collaboration with Eataly, the artisans of the palate who have exported the excellent activity of Piedmont to New York City.
