"Eyesight in sport: optometry applications in sport"

The “Visione nello sport: applicazioni optometriche nella pratica sportiva” (Eyesight in sport: optometry applications in sport) CME course will be held at the Rege Hotel in San Donato Milanese, November 21-22. The course is organized by the Roll of Optometrists and is oriented toward updating professionals on subjects associated with sport. The essential support to the entire program has been given by CONI, which has already stated that it is in favor of upcoming collaborations on the occasion of sporting events in Italy. An important support came also from some important companies in the sector that are particularly interested in the “eyesight in sport” project.

The course will describe the numerous applications that the world of optics and optometry can offer professional and amateur athletes for improving eyesight and deriving greater pleasure from sport.

As part of a wider training program for optometrists specializing in eyesight in sport, the program will also include a demonstration of the procedures for testing athletes’ eyesight, a description of the methods used, and the meaning of individual tests.

It is an important occasion for in-depth professional training that will reinforce the skills of the optometrists and create eyesight “experts” in sport.
