Presentation party for next season’s new Dsquared

Huge success last Thursday evening at the Salmoiraghi & Viganò store on Piazza San Babila for the first presentation of the iconic Dsquared2 eyewear for fall/winter 2010 in the presence of stylists Dean and Dan Caten.

Present at the party held during Vogue’s Fashion’s Night Out were Maurizio Marcolin, Style & Licensing Officer of the Marcolin Group, and stylists Dean and Dan Caten, who were mobbed by fans and cheerfully responded to numerous requests throughout the evening for photos and autographs.
Many clients also took advantage of the open day to find out about the entire Dsquared2 sun collection and enjoyed being photographed wearing different shapes and colors of eyewear on the multimedia totem that projected their live images onto the windows on Corso Matteotti.

The message launched by the new 2010-2011 sun collection is “Don't dream it, be it!”, which symbolizes the desire to let yourself go to freedom and your wishes.
The message is conveyed in sunglasses for men that are an ironical blend of unconventional glam rock and aggressive masculinity, whereas the eyewear for women is femme fatale-inspired: Madame Jekyll and Mistress Hyde.

Seventeen models that express personality and belonging to the brand’s world, accessories that are worn to be noticed and unhesitatingly state a way of being, thinking and living.

The following are the Dsquared2 iconic models:

DQ46 color 01A – the star of next season’s campaign image, this model for women is unmistakably inspired by the Eighties.
Bold geometries and a generous front piece highlight this model’s decisive look emphasized by metal decorations on the bridge and sides of the front piece.
In contrast, the “romantic” metal logo on the temples has a surprising stylistic effect.
Film noir and manga set the scene for the Dsquared2 woman who wants to complete a femme fatale look that’s sexy but with a hint of cyborg bionics.


DQ58 color 02A – sunglasses with an audacious, unconventional character have been called next season’s icon for men. A pilot style with the distinctive lines of the Dsquared2 consumer.
Larger than the classic aviator models, their origins are clearly expressed with the brand’s “D” in the center of the front piece.
This must-have accessory for men who like to take disrespectful bites out of life is available in black, Havana, Bordeaux and blue.
