Opti 2011: the big names are back

The exhibition tool is still one of the essential moments for companies to communicate and do business. After the economic crisis that affected some companies more than others in the past two years, there has been a return to believing in the usefulness and importance of exhibitions as a strategic moment for meeting buyers and sector operators as well as the international general and trade press.

Proving that there has been a “recovery” in grand style is the forecast presence at Opti (Munich - January 28 through 30), where the list of traditional exhibitors has been expanded with big names in the international optics scene. The 430 companies that will be at the Exhibition Center in Munich include the return of Luxottica, Marcolin, Charmant and Alain Mikli.

“Our aim is to present to Opti exhibitors and visitors the entire range of solutions that is currently available in the optics and eyewear market. Every year since the first edition in 2008, we have improved and increased our proposals of frames for prescription lenses. The confirmation of these sector leaders and the presence of our traditional exhibitors will enable us to keep on growing at an even faster pace” said Dieter Dohr, Managing Director of GHM Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen.

Opti 2011 will take place in pavilions C1 through C4 at the Exhibition Center in Munich: C1 and C4 will be devoted to innovative collections that focus on contemporary design, and C2 and C3 will again showcase the world of contact lenses, optical instruments, frames and furnishings for opticians. Returning after a successful 2010 are the Walk of Frame (pav. C1), the stage for innovations, trends and design for established companies, and Opti-Box (pav. C4), where new companies and young designers can display their products by taking advantage of a package with special rates.
