Oakley and MotoGP: a perfect understanding
Four special edition models in the colors of each racing stable. After much thought, Oakley selected Loris Capirossi, Jorge Lorenzo, Ben Spies and Andrea Dovizioso and their teams’ colors for the new versions of its sunglasses models.
MotoGP Signature Series: Antix
It’s well-known that Loris Capirossi, former world champion in the 250cc class, loves precision. And the Antix model dedicated to him faithfully reflects his personality. The metal “O” logo in his team’s colors perfectly balances the MotoGP logo inside the temples. The elegant frame with its streamlined, minimalist lines is emphasized by Tungsten Iridium lenses that optimize vision contrast in full sunlight and improve depth perception.
MotoGP Signature Series: Fuel Cell
Oakley pays homage to Ben Spies and his team with this mix of élan and originality. The MotoGP logo stands out on the inside of the temples and touches of blue on the outside celebrate the successes of this former world superbike champion. Ice Iridium lenses optimize color perception in full sunlight and the shaded gray color protects the eyes.
MotoGP Signature Series: Dispatch
Details in blue to honor Jorge Lorenzo and his team. Twice world champion in the 250cc class and elected "Rookie of the Year" in 2008, Lorenzo was born for motorbike racing and the aggressive style of Dispatch suits him perfectly. A glossy black frame is combined with black Iridium lenses that reduce reflections to a minimum. Metal strips stand out on the temples of this special edition in O-Matter material with an interchangeable “O” logo for maximum versatility.
MotoGP Signature Series: Jupiter
Andrea Dovizioso loves going very fast and hearing the roar of the engine as he speeds around the track. The color combination sings the praises of his bike’s volcanic power and high mechanical precision: borrowed from the fire of passion, yellow and orange are his team’s sizzling colors. Fire Iridium lenses improve depth perception and color contrast by modulating the most dazzling light in shades ranging from violet to gray. The vintage style of the Jupiter model is perfect for this young and already successful rider.
