Lacoste Eyewear: official supplier at Australian Open Tennis Championships
For the second year running, Lacoste is the official supplier of sunglasses at the Australian Tennis Open. The French sports brand has provided sunglasses for umpires, line judges and other officials at the major sports event due to end January 31, 2010, in Melbourne. Lacoste made the perfect choice with Andy Roddick as its testimonial in an advertising campaign for sunglasses aimed at reinforcing a genuine tradition – of yesterday, today and tomorrow – focused on tennis.
As ambassador for Lacoste, world tennis star Andy Roddick carries on a philosophy based on fair play and a sporting spirit on and off the court that began with René Lacoste and is still dear to the company. Roddick wears a pair of red pilot sunglasses in a special advertising campaign for the sunglasses made for the Australian Open. The accompanying banner shows another two models in Lacoste’s sophisticated sports collection: POP PILOT (LA12658), a remake of the legendary classic in fresh, bright colors for the summer, and IOS (LA12448), a modern reinterpretation of the classic aviator model.
