Intercast and Julbo announce latest ideas at Mido 2010

Intercast Europe, the world leader for the production and supply of top-quality and peak performance sun lenses, today announced at the press conference held at Mido the launch of the revolutionary Falcon NXT® lenses and the new RxTrem program.

The event has reconfirmed the product development collaboration between INTERCAST EUROPE and JULBO. During the conference a third partner was introduced, SHAMIR (Portugal), an expert in “freeform” technology which can offer new application opportunities in the optics sector as part of the Rx program for sports eyewear.

In order to meet the public’s daily demands for the same technology used till now by sportspersons, Julbo presents the new Falcon NXT® lenses with the Behind WindShield technology (BWS), the latest innovation of NXT® VariaTM Photochromic lenses by Intercast. One again, the NXT® platform has demonstrated that it is the best technology currently on the market for sun filtering.

The extraordinary optical and mechanical properties of this polymer have allowed Intercast Europe to develop for Julbo a complete range of high performance lenses in different colors: Zebra VariaTM Photochromic for mountain biking and trail running, Octopus Polar VariaTM Photochromic for sailing and Camaleon Polar VariaTM photochromic for mountain eyewear – all in Trivex®.

The RXTrem program was created to make NXT® technology – and its exceptional advantages – available for all corrective lens wearers. Developed in collaboration with Shamir (Portugal), RXTrem guarantees the best possible vision with a revolutionary new product: corrective sun lenses in wraparound frames.
For the first time, Julbo lenses will be 100% adaptable to all types of vision and meet all requirements through their high quality standards.
