FederGruppi Ottica: election of members of the Board of Directors

At its general meeting, FederGruppi Ottica, the association that was established a few days ago and is composed of the Italian Groups OptoIn, Oxo Italia and Ottici Associati, appointed the members of its Board of Directors as follows:

Chairman - Carlo Vannucci (Chief Executive Officer, OA Group)
Vice Chairman - Arnaldo Sala (General Manager, OXO Italia)
Secretary - Sergio Venturini (Chief Executive Officer, GO&PI, OptoIn Group)

The appointment of executives with consolidated professional experience is significant: “the FederGruppi general meeting wanted to give a precise indication of the active role that the association will play in the upcoming months”, said new Chairman Carlo Vannucci.

The birth of this association is not unusual, but clearly expresses the awareness of a certain part of the entrepreneurial world which has united to represent the independent distribution of specialist optical products. The code of ethics and regulations approved by the general meeting express the values and models that in the coming years will characterize all support and convergence actions with any counterpart that believes in the entrepreneurial and professional development of our category.

With regard to subjects that characterize our world at this time, not least the complex issue of the probable elimination of the obligation for opticians to take part in a continual updating program, our position is clear, “correct continual training with a precise professional and technical direction is one of the tangible and necessary answers that will guarantee the category’s survival”. If the Ministry confirms the elimination, FederGruppi’s response is ready and its support for Federottica is a certainty.
