Eyewear stars at "Milano Moda International Fashion Show"

Summer seems to be playing hide-and-seek, but the desire to be outdoors and on vacation is strong. And there can only be one major protagonist of the summer, the cult accessory under the sun: sunglasses. They are a fashion item that everyone, everywhere likes: the favorite object by stylists who create increasingly impactful and attractive collections, the beloved item by stars who like to indulge in chic or offbeat models. Following on the success of 2009, this will be the second year that the sunglasses for women in the collections produced by Anfao (Italian Association of Optical Goods Manufacturers) associate companies are once again the protagonists on the runway at tonight’s Milano Moda – International Fashion Show held in Milan in the evocative Piazza della Scala. Dozens of models expressing the excellence of products made by Italian large and small companies and worn by internationally famous models who will be on the runway in swimwear for a genuine hymn to the summer.

It is at this time of the year that Anfao steps up its activities with the aim of emphasizing the importance of sunglasses, not just as a fashion accessory (certified and of good quality) but also as an item essential for protecting the eyes from the sun’s rays. And what better occasion could there be than this important show in the heart of Milan?

Created and organized by Jo Squillo with the collaboration of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, the Milano Moda – International Fashion Show confirmed the Milan location during the week of men’s fashion shows. In the shadow of the most famous theater in Italy and under the watchful eyes of the statue of Leonardo da Vinci that dominates the square, the very best of the fashion system will be on show. In addition to the excellence in eyewear, co-protagonists of the evening will be the haute couture collections. The brands under the spotlights include: Giorgio Armani, Blumarine, Roberto Cavalli, Stella McCartney, Moschino, Jean Paul Gaultier Soleil, Alberta Ferretti, Luisa Beccaria, Byblos, VDP, Gianfranco Ferré, Krizia, Iceberg, Laura Biagiotti, Frankie Morello, Alexau, Ermanno Scervino, Parah, Camomilla, Vivienne Westwood, and Seduzioni Diamonds by Valeria Marini. The show will also be on TV in a special program on the Italia1 channel, and in two TV Moda programs on Sky 812, which will be seen throughout Europe and in the Middle East.
