Ciba Vision: refresher courses

The Academy for Eyecare Excellence, the Ciba Vision Center for research and ongoing training at Città degli Studi (the university area) in Biella, recently hosted a delegation of 40 scholarship holders mainly from Russia (26 people) but also from Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Georgia and Poland.

Situated throughout the world, the Global Academy for Eyecare Excellence centers were set up by Ciba Vision in 2008 to provide sector specialists with refresher courses on the most recent clinical aspects of contact lenses and maintenance solutions. These courses help participants to manage their stores, to communicate effectively with their customers and to prescribe sight correction that meets individual needs and lifestyle.

The international delegation arrived in Italy to take part in Professional Academy in-depth training through lectures and research activities at the Center’s laboratories: this is just the first stage in an international training program scheduled by Ciba Vision at Città degli Studi buildings in Biella for 2010. The next appointment for foreign students will be the summer term (June/July/August), which will continue until November 2010 for Italians.
