Charmant: changes on top floors

Charmant Inc. has announced a change in the top management of its European subsidiaries.
Masaaki Hirata, who joined the Charmant Group in 1993 as president and CEO of Charmant GmbH Europe and Group president and CEO, has resigned. Over the past 18 years, Hirata has actively contributed to the expansion of the Charmant Group’s business in Europe and it is now one of the main operators in the sector. Masaaki Hirata will remain on the board of directors until March 2010 to provide due support for the new management.
His successor, Taketoshi Mizukami, the company’s general manager for international marketing, officially took over the position of president and CEO of Charmant GmbH Europe and its European subsidiaries January 1, 2010.
Taketoshi Mizukami joined the company in 1988 with managerial positions in sales, marketing and product design & development. Mizukami is also responsible for all license business. Resident in Germany since 1990, Mizukami has devoted himself to the Group’s development, growth and organization, with special attention to Europe.
“Europe is one of the most important regions for the Group and I intend to further promote our business in this area. Our Company is as renowned for its top-quality products and precise, attentive service as it is for leading-edge technologies. In my role as head of international marketing and the license business, I will be actively committed to increasing our corporate value in European markets", commented Taketoshi Mizukami.
