Bushnell on the green with Piero Gross for solidarity
During Mido 2010, the renowned eyewear brand Cébé (belonging to the Bushnell group) launched the “Adopt a child’s sight” project together with CBM Italia Onlus, the non-governmental organization (NGO) devoted to fighting avoidable forms of blindness and physical and mental disabilities in the world’s poorest countries.
“It is important to prevent damage to sight from an early age” – explained Marco Ribaldone, managing director of Bushnell Italia – “because eyes that are still developing are particularly sensitive to extreme conditions.”
The Bushnell group will be supporting the project even more by involving the group’s other brands in a solidarity event.
The prestigious course at “Le Fronde” Golf Club in Avigliana (TO) will host the Piero Gros-Bushnell Trophy on July 25, 2010, and the proceeds will be allocated to CBM for the children of Ethiopia.
Naturally, the founder of the event Piero Gros will participate in the competition. Gros has won numerous prizes including the Alpine skiing world cup in 1974 and a gold medal at the Innsbruck Olympics in 1976. Now he is a well-known sports commentator and a passionate golfer, and he will support this cause together with the various sponsors of the Bushnell group, including Bollé, Bushnell Golf and Cébé, and with the participation of Guido Gobino, Italian chocolate maker par excellence.
The Bushnell group will offer numerous prizes to trophy participants: from the famous Bushnell Laser range finder, the most used in the world of golf, to eyewear in the BOLLE’ GOLF line, as well as CEBE’ eyewear for adults and children, to remind everyone about the importance of protecting children’s vision.
