
Trenti celebrates its 45th anniversary
On February 2nd 2004, Trenti has celebrated its 45th Anniversary. The company was founded in 1959 by Mario Trenti, who was one of the pioneers in the spectacle industry, alongside his eighteen year old nephew Valter Da Rin, they began producing plastic spectacles and so the production has remained for over 30 years.
Subsequently, adapting to the changes in the demand, Trenti converted a part of its production into metal and was soon ready to face the market with all its different requests.
Valter Da Rin, the President of the Bod, has also been President of the Anfao (Italian Association for Optical Product manufacturer), counsellor of the Sipao (Regional Association for Eyewear manufacturer), member of the committee of Mido and of the Museum of Historical Eyewear.
In 1998, he felt the need to improve and modernise the company and therefore constructed a new factory on a premises of 3.500 sm, which was inaugurated in 2000. Therefore being able to offer a better service to his clientele.
Trenti is based on innovation and creativity and it's efforts of continuous research have been awarded over the years. In particular, Trenti focused on creating a special collection for children, which in 1979 became known as 'Lilliput', and today it is still looked after with much care. This collection has seen many prestige recognitions, such as: the Golden Silmo 2001 (for the 270° spring hinge) and 2002 (for the hinge 'No Limits') and the First prize in Technology and Innovation, which was assigned by the Veneto Region in the same year.
Trenti has always participated to all of the most important International fairs and it has always continued its research to offer valid and technologically new products. The enthusiasm and commitment of the President coupled with the highly motivated, efficient workforce are just some of the reasons why the company has enjoyed such success over the years.
