The Carrera Ski Racing Team at the starting gate

Thursday, 21st October the Carrera Ski Racing Team was presented in Soelden, Austria, a few days before the opening of the 2004-2005 Alpine World Cup.

Many are the athletes who will be racing with Carrera products during the 2004-2005 racing season. Besides the great Hermann Maier, Isolde Kostner and Rainer Schoenfelder were the new comers to the team: Johan Brolenjus and the 2004 World Cup winner Anja Paerson from Sweden and the Spanish Maria-Josè Rienda Contreras. With them also Alexandra Meissnitzer, Michael Walchhofer, Cristoph Gruber and the Italian young and promising Manfred and Manuela Moelgg.

On the occasion the champions Stephan Eberharter and Hannes Trinkl, who recently decided to retire from the races, were thanked of the great value they added to Carrera with their successes.

All the athletes, and especially those who have been wearing Carrera for a long time, all underlined how important it is for them to race with products which make them feel safe while skiing.

They all looked ready to give their best during the new racing season and to emotion their fans. Anja Paerson and Maria-Josè Rienda Contreras have already won a podium, classifying first and third respectively in Soelden.

The products the athletes will be racing with are the Fireball Advance helmet, colours ice and blue, the Typhoon Advance helmet in the liquid cherry colour and the Kimerik goggle in different colors: black, blue, transparent, orange.
