Success for Nxt Open Day in Paris
The event organized in Paris by Intercast Europe at the Silmo fair was hugely successful with the public and was met with particular interest by operators. Numerous reporters, opticians and the representatives of French and European buying groups were at the presentation organized to illustrate the revolutionary characteristics of the solar lenses in Nxt, guaranteed shatterproof for life.
The technical demonstration which followed the presentation gave the public the chance, not only to get to grips with the characteristics of this exceptional optical polymer, but to personally try out the strength of Nxt lenses without scratching or damaging them.
In his introductory speech, Paolo Baiocchi, Chairman of Intercast Europe, underscored the exceptional properties of the material, the optical quality of lenses in Nxt, and emphasized that the setting up and optimization of this polymer for the eyewear sector was made possible thanks to a corporate philosophy that makes research and experimentation a primary objective. One of Intercast's next objectives is to develop the product still further. 'For the time being, Nxt is used to produce lenses for sunglasses and transparent, bulletproof screens in the aeronautical and military field', Paolo Baiocchi observed, 'but it's only a beginning. Nxt has been on the market for 2 years and in the next 5 years we will continue to grow and to amaze, thanks to the huge technical potential that can still be developed'.
In the optics area, the incredible workability of Nxt has also opened up new horizons in design, as could be seen from some of the fashion and sports brand models that use Nxt lenses and were made available for the occasion: Celine, Damiro Sport, Etro, GF Ferrè, Iceberg, Lancetti, Mila Schon Eyewear (which has temples in Nxt), Mandarina Duck, Panoptx, Randolph Engineering, Zerorh+, in addition to the exclusive Mantide and Helsinki prototypes (patented and owned by Intercast Europe SpA), made entirely in Nxt in collaboration with the Research Center at the European Institute of Design.
Lenses in Nxt are recognizable by the logo on the lens itself or in the documentation that accompanies the glasses.
