Spain: Afflelou and Carrefour together for children
Often a child's performance, its problems with learning and socializing are connected with poor sight. This is the concept that the Carrefour Foundation and the Alain Afflelou chain of optics stores are working on through a campaign that will involve the 73 Alain Afflelou Optico stores and the Carrefour and Champion shopping malls in Spain.
The campaign will continue until March 31 and consists of free sight tests for children between 6 and 8 years of age, as well as the donation of glasses for needy children. A leaflet will also be distributed to explain to parents that poor school work is often connected with sight problems, which can be easily resolved if they are correctly diagnosed.
The Alain Afflelou optics chain has been in the Spanish market since 2003 and its stores are located inside the shopping malls of the French chain, Carrefour.
