New Versace and Versus sunglasses collections

Versace eyewearThe boutique on Via Montenapoleone, Milan, was the venue for the presentation of the new Versace and Versus sunglasses collections 2004-2005 designed by Luxottica.

In the Versace line, there are different versions of some of the models, for example with or without Swarovski crystals. Some examples in nylon have been injected to achieve a 'glitter' or metallic effect. For the plastic range, different types of colors have been used to give an innovative visual effect, transparent in the center and shaded toward the outside. Many metal frames have been painted to give a lacquered effect, the models in black or 'Ferrari' red, especially.

Despite the different styles, colors are neutral and homogeneous and are based on a palette that includes natural, brown, khaki, honey and black. The only exceptions are red, pink and white. All lenses give 100% UV protection and they are dark, either in matching shades or graded. A new type of lens with a dual curve has been used for model 2027. Lenses are in CR or nylon, depending on the chosen model.

Versus eyewearThe Versus line is oversize, amusing and sporty and for young and trendy clients. Mostly unisex and wraparound, the majority of the models is in acetate. The new logo with the metal lion appears for the first time on five models in this collection.

Colors are strong and in line with the mood of the collection. The majority of models come in red, black and white, but there is also some purple and orange. Lenses guarantee 100% UV protection and are mostly in CR, which ensures lightness and comfort, but lenses which are screwed to the frames are in nylon.
