New prospects in Usa for Metzler with Moulin
Moulin International Holdings Limited Group, whose Italian subsidiary, Metzler International (Italy), is responsible for the style, history and Italian know-how in the sector, a few days ago signed an agreement for the acquisition of around 56% of Ecca (Eye Care Centers of America), the second largest chain of opticians stores in the United States, with 378 outlets throughout 33 states.
The operation will be finalized during the first months of 2005, after approval by the shareholders.
Thanks to this important acquisition, Metzler will see a considerable increase in its chances for growth in the most important market, the United States. Metzler International (Italy) belongs to the Metzler International Group, Moulin's European subsidiary. The Metzler International Group was formed by the merger of Italy's Filos and United Optical with Germany's Metzler and is the combination of Italian tradition and creativity linked to German technology and high standards of quality.
The Meztler Group, which has 20 companies throughout the world, distributes over 4 million frames through approximately 52,000 opticians.
