Mido Education: a pavilion fully devoted to training

The Mido Education program, one of the innovations offered by Mido Eyesystem (the new activity program created by Mido to offer year-round services and information to the trade) has been fully finalized. Thanks to this new initiative has proudly come into its own as Europe's leading exhibition in the area of top professional training offered to opticians and optometrists from around the globe.

The program involves 60 Ecm-certified courses (Continuing Education in Medicine), each lasting 4 hours, organized during Mido from 7 to 9 May in a dedicated pavilion dubbed Mido Education, that has been efficiently fitted with an organizing secretariat and with all the necessary equipment for running and managing the courses.

The courses are held in Italian and English by distinguished lecturers and are organized and managed by Mido, in concert with the most prestigious Italian and international partners selected for their exceptional reliability, competence and professionalism. Mido, has in fact teamed up with professional trade associations and renowned Italian organizations such as Aio (Italian Opticians' Association), Federottica (National Association of Optometrists and Opticians), Irsoo (Regional Institute for Optical and Optometric studies), Istituto Zaccagnini, Optical and Fabiano Group, as well as international bodies such as Esa (European Sunglasses Association) and Vca (Vision Council of America).

Mido 2004 will therefore feature this not-to-be-missed training opportunity that is offered to opticians and optometrists from all over the world to ensure their continuing education. The courses will focus, among other things, on topical issues associated with sales techniques, marketing, fiscal and legal regulations, as well as tecnical-scientific topics such as the main visual disorders and their compensation.

'The ultimate objective of Mido Education' comments Mido's President, Cirillo Coffen Marcolin, 'is to proactively meet the vision community's ever-growing need for top-level professional training, by offering the opportunity to participate in Mido and, at the same time, to benefit from first-class professional updating. This will make it possible to provide hands-on solutions to concrete needs, drawing upon the expertise of professionals directly involved in the industry'.

To launch this new initiative and promote participation of the trade, this year's Mido has set a special price of 45 € + VAT per course and per person.

Starting in early March, it will be possible to consult the Mido Education Program, check out the course calendar, enroll and pay through credit card directly on-line by logging on to www.midoeducation.com. To learn more about the program, a toll free line will soon become operational. In the mean time, please contact Mido's organizers at +39 02 32673673.
