
Maria-Josè Rienda Contreras Carrera's guest at the Moto Gp finals
The Spanish ski star Maria-Jose Rienda Contreras, who conquered the podium on the 23rd of Semptember in the first World Cup race of the season, was Carrera's guest in Valencia for the last MotoGP race (30th - 31st October 2004). The athlete, for the first time this year in the Carrera Ski Racing Team, is the first skier to wear Carrera's winter products, ski helmets and goggles, in Spain.
In Valencia Maria-Josè Rienda Contreras met the pilots of the Safilo Carrera Lcr team and the spanish Carlos Checa and Toni Elias, also testimonials for Carrera, whom she gave some presents: ski goggles and helmets and racing skis made available from Rossignol. The pilots had also prepared something for her: thei autographed helmets. This is how the sportsmen are also celebrated the end of the motorcycling and the beginning of the skiing seasons.
On this occasione a special thank you went to Lucio Cecchinello and his team for the 2004 championship during which the pilots gave their fans intense emotions. The final ranking position saw Randy De Puniet third in 250 cc and Roberto Locatelli third in the 125 cc. Mattia Pasini, on the other hand, was titled 'Rookie of the Year' and ended the season in the 15th position.
