Marcolin-Cavalli renewal plus one
Marcolin and Roberto Cavalli, one of the most famous fashion and luxury labels, announced today that the licensing agreement for the design, production and world distribution of Roberto Cavalli Eyewear sunglasses and vision glasses has been renewed 3 years in advance.
The new agreement also extends the license to the design, production and distribution of sunglasses and vision glasses in the Just Cavalli Eyewear line due to be launched worldwide in October 2005.
The conditions of the agreement, which will expire December 31, 2010, are substantially the same. The aggregate billings for the two lines for the period 2005-2006 are estimated to be around 60 million euros.
Maurizio Marcolin, the Group's Style & Licensing Chief Executive, pointed out: 'Roberto Cavalli is one of the world's most important fashion brands and we envisage opportunities for steady growth. We are therefore very pleased that the agreement has been renewed in advance, especially as the collaboration also includes the Just Cavalli line'.
The Florentine stylist underlined: 'Eyewear is part and parcel of my creativity. I am extremely pleased about the early renewal of the agreement with Marcolin, one of the most dynamic companies in the eyewear sector. The success of the collaboration which began in 1999 confirms the perfect combination of Marcolin's know-how and quality standards with Cavalli prestige and unmistakable style in the creation of highly recognizable products'.
