Made-in-Italy in Moscow
For the first time ever, Italian eyewear will debut in Moscow with the finest offerings from the new 2004 collections. This outstanding event, hosted in the prestigious literary Pushkin museum, is being organized by the Moscow Ice (Italian Foreign Trade Institute) and Anfao (Italian Optical Goods Manufacturers' Association), with funding allocated by the Deputy Minister of Manufacturing Activities Adolfo Urso through the funds earmarked by the Ministry of Foreign Trade.
The event is part of a series of activities developed last year on the heels of the industry agreement reached by Anfao and Deputy Minister Urso to put Italian eyewear on the world map, particularly in Russia, an area with a huge potential.
Made-in-Italy eyewear, a world leader in the middle-to high-end market, will make an appearance in Russia, a country that is showing an increasingly keener interest in Italian products.
Showing on runways tonight at 9 p.m. will be 94 styles of sun, prescription and sports eyewear for men, women and children, along with unique cases, in a themed show that has been inspired by the five leitmotifs that will characterize the forthcoming seasons. This is a unique opportunity for participating companies to launch or strengthen their presence in Russia, by meeting press members, buyers and trade people and by showing them a taste of their new collections, from designer names to the niche products by medium and large manufacturers.
